Description
ABOUT SCHOOLKIT
We are a team of experienced educators who train and support schools, districts, and states to help all students meet college and career-ready standards. We believe that excellent teaching is the foundation of equitable schools. Working in partnership with local educators, we help improve instruction and leadership through content and curriculum-specific training, coaching, and strategic planning. Together, we build schools and systems that help all students succeed. More information about our current and past work is available at www.schoolkitgroup.com.
THE ROLE
SchoolKit is seeking independent contractors to join our pool of Instructional Designers to support our work with K-12 school districts across the country. Instructional Designer duties include supporting the design and development of professional learning sessions for K-5 math and/or literacy, 6-12 math and/or literacy, science, and/or social studies content that is role-, grade-level-band-, and curriculum-specific with an emphasis on equitable instruction in the classroom.
Designers will use SchoolKit’s tools and approach to design content that deepens participant knowledge of specific content areas and best instructional practices to strengthen teaching and learning in classrooms across the country. Designers will receive feedback and support from a Content Lead to refine and finalize their work in alignment with project goals and objectives. While design work can be completed on a Designer’s schedule, they will be responsible for holding to project timelines and (pending designer availability) will likely manage multiple workstreams on different timelines.
EXPERIENCE
COMPENSATION
This is a consulting position and candidates who are selected will be independent contractors of SchoolKit. As such, they will be paid $90 - $110 an hour for remote work. Rates are highly dependent on experience.
